Where do your engines come from?

All of our JDM engines are low mileage units that we import directly from Japan. In Japan there are circumstances that we here in the states would find unusual that allow us to find low mileage engines and transmissions. After a vehicle no longer passes the safety inspections the vehicle must be recycled. If we do not have the engine or transmission you are looking for, we have a nationwide network of companies we can use to find the engine or transmission that you need; be it Japanaese, Korean, European, or domestic. Are these engines smog legal in the US market?

Yes!  We would not be able to import the engines if they were not legal in the States.  Here is a link to the California Air Resources Board regarding Japanese engine replacements.

If I have a warranty claim, do you pay my mechanic to install another engine?

No. These are used engines that we sell. We do warranty the items for six months. If there is any problem with the item that is covered under the warranty, we will replace it with another item, but we do not pay labor, shipping, or any other related costs.
